I think it is harder to put 134A in than the old R12. I found that if you put the can in a pail of hot water, and be sure to hold the can upright it works pretty good. If this does not work, the I'd guess you have some other problem.

Hello Thanks for your response I did the warm water trick. That usually does help and I agree that the 134 is harder to put in than the R12 I also don't think it cools as well. I guess I will keep trying considering how slow the grain is on ripping I might need a heater more than AC thanks again Dale

From the sound of your note you didn't have any guages hooked up to tell you the actual pressuresIJI have a 760 and even though I had enough freon(R12) in her, she stil didn't seem to cool enough for me. I found out the evaporator had dirt on it and my condensation lines were partially clogged. Cleaned all that up and it made a big difference. I also have an 8820 Deere and converted it over last year to 134A and haven't noticed a big difference in cooling. Good luck and please let us know what you find out. AJTIII

schrader valve didn't have a long enogh needle on it and wasn't opening up the line to put in freon. Changed the shrader valve and it took it right in. thank you for all your replies Dale
