Where are you most of those sold in europe came standard with autoheader it is the header parts that will be complicated I think they just opperated a micro switch in the header valve control
We're in Western Canada, but when we bought the unit it had the old series header on it. It looks like the accumulator is still there but all else was taken or not installed. It's an '85 model.
Have you got a rocker switch behind the stop control in the cab. if so this is the automatic switch. you will then need on the header two reed switches -one raise, one lower - you need two or it would not stop hunting. these then activate the magnetic header control valve when engaged. If you did not have the rocker switch it should be possible to rig one up as it only overides the main lift and lower.
Thanks, We do have a rocker switch on the unit. I will have a chance to take a closer look at it once it warms up a bit. wont be back to the farm til easter.
have you got an 860 book because mine has the wiring diagrams it is quite simple. Mine being very late european has the dronningborg header and as such does not use auto hight control but just uses an electrical stop on the lowering control being massey they do not include the wiring diagram for this system it is not as good a system but if you only want to return to the same hight each time it is very simple. If you want the diagram of the switching for the header control mail me and i will try to send it.
