Combines 863 corn head hinges and springs

Just replaced several of my hinges with parts from a salvage yard(would not want to know the price for new hinges). Very tough to find used hinges not broke in the same manner. This hinge design is weak and always breaks in the same place. I removed all my hinges and welded a support piece to the "weak link" part that fractures from bending. This should fix the problem. I also considered replacing my sheet metal with poly which utilizes a new hinge design. Your snouts with both hinges broke will not seat properly. Also, only one hinge on each snout of my head has an assist spring. Good luck.
