It's been 2 years since I had to change that bearing but from what I remember it actually isn't that bad. First remove the 3 bolts from both the bearing holder at the top of the bubble auger as well as the bearing holder at the bottom of the auger where the defective bearing is. Then using a pipewrench on the end of the auger while holding the u-joint from turning unscrew the auger from from the u-joint by turning the auger the same way as it rotates. Once unscrewed, the auger and bearing should come out together. let me know how you make out.
