I put one on my 8780 it was well worth it. The kit cost about 100 to 150 dallars as I remember and it feeds alot better. I have only cut wheat with the new beater so far. good luck

Onion Farmer thanks for reply, I have some question about the upgrade to flightingIJ 1. Dose the flighting angle back from both side to push materiel to center of rotor inletIJ 2. The kit that you got did it have only flighting to bolt to bracket that the claws where bolted to or did you have to add and remove some brackets for the flighting fitIJ 3. How tall is the flightingIJ Thanks again Dee

Well with out going out and looking at my combine this is what I remember. The flights do move materiel to the center some. There are right hand and left hand. The flights are about 1 to 2 inches high.To install the kit you have to pull the feed house off and take all old parts off the beater. This includes using the torch and grinder to get everthing off the beater. There are parts you weld to the beater and the flights bolt on to that. The kit comes with good instructions. good luck

Talked to a dealer in Iowa this week and they have changed a few of them - reduces noise in corn. They also have had a few of the bars break off the original round beater in corn.
