I had an airfoil chaffer in my 7720 and changed to a deep tooth chaffer in HM corn and gained some speed that way.

I could be wrong, but I think if you open up the bottom seive to a half inch you will get enough air. I think you need to put in the deep toothed wide spaced corn chaffer to get the capacity up. On my 8820 the limiting factor is walker loss, except on slopes then you have to slow down to avoid chaffer loss but on the level it is the straw walkers. I use the same chaffer on beans too, works good.

When I was running a 7720II I used a non adjustable airfoil chaffer. I took the bottom sieve out and just adjusted the fan speed to clean the sample. Fan speed if I remember was around 700-800 Worked well for me, in both corn and soybeans. Was using 8 row 36 cornhead and 224 flex head. Hope this helps.
