I combine the same crops you do and I had to put the slower sprocket on mine because the faster speed was shaking the shoe apart.

I didn't notice any decrease in shoe capacity. Probably wouldn't make a difference since the shoe in a 8820 T2 is 6" longer then a regular 8820.
