Combines 8820 s auction value

I would not pay more then $10000 for it.

In December I watched a 1980 model 8820 with 4500 hours go for $5500. Had lots of stuff on it, 4x4, yield moniter, chopper and spreader.

I just wanted to comment on what you posted. I went to an auction this past fall and watched a Gleaner l2 with RWA and corn and grain head go for $9300. I didn't feel that it was worth $6000 for all, but you just never know. I was really suprised especially since most people run John Deere in my area.

I have heard that the 8820 is a hard machine to sell because it's so big for most people and the farmers that need a big machine buy newer more reliable combines. ray

They had a lot of trouble getting many bids on this combine even though it was in decent shape for its hours and its owner was known for taking good care of stuff. All the equipment on this sale had sat outside for two years as he had lost every bit of ground he had, his shed got blown down by a tornado, and it was pretty large for our area. He had a 9600, 8820, 30' heads, 16 row Kinze, and several other large implements. All in all I thought considering everything he should have been fairly pleased with the prices everything brought. Even though the 800 Kinze grain cart is much bigger than we need, I had a bid in on it at $4500 and it looked as though I may have gotten it, but they ended up getting $7800 or so for it.
