I would like to thank all of those that responded. We have replace pulleys, bearing, and the idler and yet the problem presisted. Just like you guys suggested, it turned out to be the shields around both pulleys. They had been bent from failure when the belts would jump off. We removed both shield and had them re-shaped. Then when they were re-installed, we positioned them so that the separator would operated even though it was disengaged. Then we backed off on the shields until the the separator would no longer run. It took a little time to get it right, but now it operates like new. For future problems I now where to come and that is this site. TSTAR over and out.
