Going Faster Makes it worse. This Head is a piece of crap. I talked to a custom operator and he told me the sooner I get rid of this head the better.

Not entirely sure what the problem exactly is because I can't be there to see it. But based on your description, is sounds like the header is being run a bit high. The ears should be stripped from the stalk about 2_3 of the way up the length of the stripper plates. To accomplish this, one adjusts picking height, ground speed, and header speed to obtain that condition. Has to be an adjustment of some type. The 800 series head has worked great on the MF rotaries I've been around, especially in down or lodged corn when other heads just won't pick it up. Best of continued luck.

I'm not very familiar with the 800 series head, haven't heard many complaints. Agree with the other followups in that it must be some sort of adjustment problem. Sounds like your stalks can't enter the snapping unit. Not sure what adjustments are available; stalkroll timing, width between rolls_points, stalkroll speedIJ Try slowing them down - the ear should come off just as the tinwork drops, stalk should be gone by the time the plant is 2_3 into the unit depending on height. I hope that you've already widened the snapping plates. Good luck!
