Do you have any weight on itIJ Ours usually stick in the up position on our 7000 series tractors and have to be forced down the first time, if they havent been used for a period of time.

Our 8760 was stuck,wasn't used for awhile, hooked chain to it and pulled it down,has worked fine since.

don't know bout used but you can get a reman from cat and i think new holland.

I never though about Cat forgot that they used that trans also. Before I buy a reman I will buy just a housing and swap everything over. The reason is that the housing is broke so I would not have core to turn back in. The only price I got was $18,000 plus core, I wasn't planing on spending that much.

where is it cracked and how bad, also how in the world did it get cracked. FYI they want you to take of the cab to remove the trans but it can be done leaving the cab on ,but on the other hand the cab is really easy to take off if you choose to go that route, good luck.

It is broke all the way around, hit a gravel truck with the outside dual wheel. It has been sitting at the dealer for over a year, I have been looking for a extra tractor and for the price I can't go wrong. I just got done doing the numbers and I will have about $21,000 in this tractor when I am done, that includes the price of the tractor, parts etc. and I will put it together myself. Found a used trans and one used axle, about the only other thing it will need is a windshield. And besides that my wife said it is OK, so I am going to do it before she changes her mind!!!!!

you have to get a good deal once in awhile and it sounds to me like you got one. have you run a genisis beforeIJ ,if not, be prepared to love it.
