We have one of the last '95 model R52s. Ours has a 230hp Cummins like the '96 model. Ours is still the short shoe. long shoe started in 1996. Put the three stage chaffer mod on and had no loss in performance compared to the long shoe. look under hyper mods. It doesn't take a lot to change. We put the feeder shock kits on and made a big difference. As so far the rest of the differences it was once posted on here all the running changes. But I haven't seen it posted in a while. I think it was linked to the Hurt Equipment site but not sure. Maybe someone else can help.

'92 had bottom drives for clean grain and tailings similiar to l2s. I'm sure they had top drives by '95 just like the big brothers. Bottom drives had a nasty habit of losing a chain now and then from wild corn cob. Some shielding or spring loaded idler for chain will correct that situation. You'll have to compare conditons but the newer machine sounds more appealing to me. Good luck
