Combines 920 flexhead that does not cut low enough

I don't know what the solution is but I know the angle is definitely different at the feederhouse because our 1997 9500 cut alot lower then our 1990 model with the same grainhead. Tire size was also the same. Only solutions I can think of are to find a wedge kit or try trading rear tires for a bigger size which would tilt the combine frontwards.

Bigger tires on the back may seem to be the right thing to do but smaller ones are the ones to put on.the thing people foget is the pivot points in the feederhouse.As you bring the rear of the combine up, the feederhouse tilts the head back onto the skidshoes of the head.if you don't believe me find a ditch that is lower than the field.Set the rearend in the ditch and have the front tires and head in the field.

I'm sure you've done this, but is it all cleaned out underneathIJ Because if there is much dirt at all under there, you'll do a terrible job of cutting.

Thanks for the input. I will see what a wedge kit consists of and how much it costs. I also had a gentleman suggest making sure the adjustment arms underneath the head are not bent flat. I need to check into that as well.
