Remove the tube, inspect the area where the ferrel is located, if it is dimpled, trim just enough off the tip ends of the tube to allow the new 1216511 ferrel to have a new area to seal on as the tube will now go down this much more into the block. The 2135693 stands will have to be shortened the same amount. Check this out first as there are three diffent setups as to coolers and lines. Make sure you do not run into interference by shortening the tube. One customer reported he had room to place the ferrel lower on the tube but I did not find that possible on the unit we repaired. We add loctite hyd sealant to the tube before sliding the ferrel on. Snug it, don't over torque, and check it for the first couple of hours and if it seeps snug it a tad more, there is no specific torque. This tube contains the oil pump bypass and therefore is not the highest pressure oil line.
