Combines 94 R62

I had a 93 R62 so some things could of changed, but in 93 there was a low hp Cummins, which is what the first 93 r62 I bought had. The first thing that would of wore out on that machine was the low rpm beeper. Do not get the low ( I think 240 hp) Cummins. The next year I traded for the Deutz with twin turbo. We had some issues with fuel pumps in this area to begin with, but that was quickly solved by setting it to R72 specs. This year I traded for a 2000 R62 and after running for a couple of days asked my dealer if he could put a Deutz back in. Don't be afraid of a Deutz and don't get the low hp Cummins.

Both motors were available in 94. We run a 94 R62 with cummins, great machine, plenty of power, and parts are a lot cheaper and common than Deutz. The best engine Gleaner ever had was the inline 6 deutz in the R52, 235 hp and uses less than half of the fuel of a cummins or the V8 Duetz.
