From 20 miles north of Regina. You see the 9400 is just a 9500 with a smaller engine and shorter walkers. You see most of us that run 9000 series know that walkers are the limiting factor when it comes to capacity. You might consider that and as compared to a 8820 I'm sure you will be disappointed in capacity. Now if you have a off farm job and the farming is after 5 pm you will like the cab and controls. I put my 70 year old father in law in the cab at ten in the morning and I am falling asleep in the truck at midnight while he wants to move to another field. As for weaknesses, you may want to get the bolt that holds the gearbox onto the walker shaft updated as some dealers failed to do it before it means new walker shafts and bearings. I believe if it has wooded walker bearings that they were not so much a problem in those machines as they were in the 9600. I ran the wood in my 9500 to 1500 hrs. before I lost the bolt and had to upgrade the whole thing as shafts are not available for the woods anymore. At that low of hours it should go a long way before it needs much work. Early crops were poor, canola 10 bus peas 25, later wheat topped 40 bus. Have a good Christmas and I'm sure the wife will enjoy a new combine for a gift.
