Combines 9500 9600 combines

Just go to the deere site and look at the 9560 or 9660 "CWS" machines and you will get a pretty good idea as to how they work. 9560 = 9500 9660 = 9600 Mechanically they are almost identical to the "late model" 9000 series machines. Obviously the cab has been updated a lot but other then that, the dimensions, cleaning area, walkers, hp. etc are pretty similar. The only real change may be the shape of the grain bin. Cheers Bundy

The cab is your standard hydrostatic lever on the right, nice grip, has reel speed+lift+fore_aft, also header lift. On right-hand console are all controls (push-buttons) for fan and cylinder adjustments, concave clearance, throttle, unloading-auger swing and unloader engage and 4wd where fitted. Outside the cab on right hand side there's a concave-guage. In front of seat you have a pedal for reversing the feederhouse. Although I'm a die-hard Case fan, the cab on the 9500 I operated for a while was one of the best I've been in. Feeder-house is long, you can really sit back and drive, excellent visibility. One thing that bothered me is that it wasn't a very forgiving machine to set. However, it's nice to operate. And I apologize for any inaccuracies, it's been 6 seasons since I've last been inside a Maximizer.

What problems are you havingIJ Did you think about going to the case talk show and try to get things figured outIJ People fail to tell you that Deere has the most moving parts and have lemon machines as well. Just as all brands do. One thing you should thin about is that you are looking at a conventional threshing system which is soon to be considerd outdated since the rotary is the cats meow. So in a sence you would be going backwards in threshing technology. If you must go Deere and and since you have a fairly new machine already why not go to an stsIJ Just some things for you to think about before you jump ship but because "its a lemon" isn't a good reason to look at a whole different machine.

Thanks for the info guys. I knew we would be going backwards in a sense of the seperation_threshing system, but at least we would be able to run.As for our 2188, in the 7 or 8 yrs weve had its just been nothing but problems. I understand every manufacture in anything has lemons, but id like to hope we owuldnt get back to back ones...yikes.. The 1480 seems to be steadly going down hill now as well...see case forum.. Boetoer-Could you go a little deeper when you say it was very unforgiving in settingIJ sorry if this is common knowledge.
