There are a n of things that could cause this. Psi switch, low freon, or a_c switch. If you have gauges put them on and see how much system has. Just don't jump the dealer to quick you may need his service later and the old saying is do unto others as you would want done to you.

You need atleast 80 psi on the low side if you hook up guages to your system. The low pressure switch wont allow the compressor to come on otherwise, Chances are from sitting you lost a little, check all connections from front to rear for oil residue, i should show if there is a leak.
