Farny Sorry to hear about your dad....That's tough! Mine's just a bit older than yours is so that is a bit of a wake up call to me. I don't have a dust diverter on my 9600 currently but I have sure thought seriously about getting one. like you I just can't see how they could be that hard to build but I have never seen one up close to look at to copy it. If you decide to build one will you keep me in mind and email me your plans. please........I'm getting darn tired of that buildup on the feederhouse. Hard enough to stand up there when it's a bit wet to wipe windows and add all that chaff and it's a real booger. BTW....have you thought about if your going to make this squirrel cage run on electricity or a little hydralic motorIJ REason I'm asking I'm wondering if all the chaff on a electric motor wouldn't be just asking for trouble with a fire. Enough to worry about without adding that. Take care
