9500 will level as much as older 6620 SH's and I have one of those. You can keep the thing full all the time untill you get way steeper than 18 limit. Most of my rough stuff is not much more than this limit but when it is, I can't imagine how bad the level land machine will crab. Compared to a 2188, the red will be a little bigger except early in morning and later in the evening when stuff gets a little dewey according to the red guys. Problems I have with the hillco, first is the cost. Second, the height. Deere machine can be let down on the cylinders to get under legal limit, hillco cannot. Maybe no big deal until you take down a power line or try to go into a 13 foot door. Good things about hillco is the huge front solid axle. Very strong. Deere's has been proven to be just as strong. You can get a hillco for a deere now. Good luck...GS

I have some broadbase terraces that are built on 17% slope and the backsides are about 22. I have to slow down to about 2.8MPH w_6 row head in 180 bushel corn on these places. Otherwise I can run about 3. 7 untill the clean grain trough overfills and corn starts to spray out the clean grain fan. Sounds like slow but amounts to more corn per hour than my wife likes to haul away. last year was short of moisture and corn made 140 so ground speed could be increased till corn starts to bounce out of head (about 4.5 mph). I don't farm much so every ear counts. Want picturesIJ Can email you a couple if you want. Sidehill machines have one drawback, you get addicted to the comfort. Set a cup of coffee on the console and take off across the hill w_o spilling is real nice. Makes a big machine out of a small one. Good luck! GS
