Combines 9510 PerformanceIJ

I've never harvested soybeans or corn, but I do know the 9500 machine fairly well. What is your most limiting factor at the moment.

I do know this, I have a 9500 combine, and found out last year that if you take the filler plates off of the cylinder, you will find that you have a whole new combine.....and if you shell corn, you won't have to make as many adjustments when going from variety to variety. we typically go around 5 mph in beans and corn, we have an 18 foot bean head.

Do you have any problems in corn with the filler plates outIJ I've never tried it but some have told me it works good to take them out in soybeans but not so good in corn. At what moisture do you usually harvest your cornIJ

We had a 9500 It was having trouble in beans didn't seem like it had enough power We put new clylinder bars on it and it was a different machine. We ran a 25 foot head on it and was able to run 3 to 4 mph We were on some rolling ground. Good luck

it works great with them out in corn as well as far as we are concerned. All those tweaking adjustments we used to make with cylinder speed and concave clearance when changing from one brand of corn to the other we haven't had to make this year.... our moisture has been as high as 23 percent and as low as 14 percent so far this year. Wheat harvest went better this past spring with them out as well, there was no vibration in the cylinder because the trash could fall out. John Deere can have the filler plates, I see no advantage in wheat, soybeans and corn in having them at all... only cons.

Man that 3-4mph is flying. I bet you have to stop to let the headlights catch up. A guy said he can run nearly 6 mph with a 25ft head in green stem beans with his New Holland TR97 on the New Holland page.
