Have run fine cut choppers on our machines and have really liked the results. Yes you have to change the drums. The tall vains are part of the change over to the fine cut system. You can put them on the existing chopper, but this is only to get a wider spread for the larger heads. Shouldn't be a problem with 25' We have been running 36' heads and we can spread right across the head with the fine cut_ tall vain combination.

Another item that really improves fine cutting is installing the longer stationary chopper blades from loewen.

Using a Redekop MAV chopper upgrade will get you the finest cut on the market. Plus, you can dial in to what ever width you need 36+ feet. The only other thing you would need would be the deep fins for the tailboard. Email me.

I hate my trirotor chopper on my 9500, the thing will get some crap in their after about five minutes then bam, out of balance. Old one on the 6620 could not do that. If it didn't cost so much, I would sure like to tear it out of their and fit one from a 7720 back in. gs
