I don't want to completely bash green, but its things like that, which cause me to dislike JD. Our 4700 sprayer is gutless. You lose 4-6 mph climbing minute hills in western SD. Not even what I would call steep hills by any means at all. We love our 4955 however, but we have just had bad luck with Deere. I could go on about some 4x4 tractors, not sure what number, something like the 260 hp. or 310 hp, about 3 years ago, it was gutless pulling a grain kart. And their combines, well, I won't get started. I always figure JD hp. is rated different than others. If there are two 300 hp tractors side by side and identical in every way, only one is a deere, the deere will have less power, thats the way it is, and don't ask me why.

2rotorsIJ I like to see this 300hp comparisonIJ Do you know when and wereIJ I sure don't see it. I own most deere 9400T's 83_8400's and horse power is not been a problem ever even compard with you r big NH4wd(not empressed). Sounds like the guy has a software problem on his 9520. I bet you havent tested many 8400 on a dino.225hp rating and puting out up to 300hp. Or 8320 215hp rated 275 output. I see it with my own eye's all the time. I guess your little facts aren't very stable and true, I bet alot of things you say are not true, they don't sound very true either, maybe jealousy has got to you. What brand is your dad's combine anywaysIJ Is it still NHIJ I cant keep track the different companys merging and buying. Oh wait!!I know witch combine it is, its one of those that are yellow rightIJ I think I saw one once in a field, during harvest. They sure must not sell many. How do they stay afloatIJ I think you have more of a chance seeing a UFO than a NH in a field. If they are so great why isn't there any aroundIJ And I have been all over the country harvesting.

A farmer told me the other day that the new New Holland CR's look like a spaceship, so maybe those UFO's you are seeing are really NH combinesIJ Could you be blinded by the glare of your green paintIJ Ilnh

It is because of the Tier II engine. Any machine, tractor, combine or what ever else they put them in have no power. As of yet to be resolved by JD. I feel sorry for the guys buying '03s. They will have the Tier III engine and have even less power.

If you didnt spend enough hours in the 4x4 tractor to even figure out what number model it was, you didnt spend enough time in it to say anything negative about it.

2rotors, this is not "my daddy is a big shot farmer" website so if you do not know what you are talking about then don't bother saying anything. I love this website and I have a lot of respect for peoples questions and answers, but I don't have any for yours. It's alright to give people a little grief about what kind of machinery they run but not on every single little post.

We had a neighbor that had a older 8400 and bought a new one and the new one wouldnt pull near what the old one would so they put the older 8400 on the dino and 285 horsepower and the new one was at 245.

Refer to my post about changing numbers and how nobody can keep up they change so fast. I run a lot of tractors, and you guys need to accept I'm giving my opinion. The original question was does anybody have power problems, and yes, nearly all our JD machinery is gutless, and thats why we trade them off for different brands. OUr 4x4 went to Cat for a 95E. COmbines we run Cat and NH. Mechanical fronts we run JD, and yes, we like our 4955 very much, but as far as the 7810 I wish we gave it back when we leased it rather than buy it out. I'm not some bigshot farmer, just telling you my observations. I get all over the country running various machinery, so yes, I have experience with many machines, and JD is over rated. As far as not seeing NH everywhere, its a dealer location problem in most areas, everyone is aware of that. That is why JD is popular; not cause they are the best, they have the best located dealers.
