All I was doing is answering the question "has anyone experience lack of power in their Deere 4x4. In my experience, everything except our 4955 has been underpowered. 4700, 7810, 8760, and the 9500 and 9600 I have operated, and stated that for 400+ hp the STS prototype didn't destroy the competative NH with 270 hp. My OPINION.....JD Horsepower is either rated different or something, the power is not there. You may not care if one combine will go faster than the other, but here's one thing I do care about. Bought a 4700 with 300 hours on it. Operated along with our local elevator to do some custom work, adn the injection pump went out and cost me 10,000 dollars in lost income. WE had to beg JD to come out on a Sat. and take the pump out. They showed up Monday evening with a new pump. The following weekend a hose valve or something blew out underneath the cab, come to find out it was supposed to be one of the RECAllS they were supposed to update it to before they delivered it. What other updates didn't we getIJ THey don't stand behind our 7810 either, which I won't get into. I realize some people love Ford pickups and have never had problems. Some hate them cause they ended up with a lemon. Our bad experiences with JD are similar to that. You have bad luck with a company, hard feelings arise. We loved Cat till they screwed us out of 15,000 dollars by denying responsibility for an issue. IT goes back to how we get treated.
