Combines 9550 electrical problems

Had very similar problems with a 2000 9750. Turned out to be a bad board under the arm rest on the seat. Kept getting worse and finally quit altogether. Just a thought. We are having tons of problems with both a 2000 and a 2001 9750. Have replaced 3 different boards (some twice),entire wiring harness on one, and various relays and switches. Have lost some jobs because of the downtime and lost use of one machine for almost 45 days total this year. Deere has even had territory manager spend a day with his laptop and talking to DTAC about the problems trying to fix it. Did not work the next day we went to the field with it! Have run Deeres for over 30 years but may be forced to run another color if they do not do something soon to get these problems fixed.

I had the same problem on a lease machine this summer, and as gben says, its the armrest board. At least after they changed that I did not have the problem again while I had the combine. It was on a 9650 STS, not sure what year it was though.

I had a '91 9500 that had a similar problem. Turned out that one wire was broke in the harness that went from circuit board in grain tank to cab. Also the circuit board was cracked. Replaced the board and jumpered the wire and about a $1000.00 later wah-lah worked just fine. Good luck
