That really doesnt sound good. Knowing that its a straw walker and that i know people with straw walkers and they have loss at 3-4mph. I would really think he would have loss since he's running on hill sides. But hey, what ever he wants is what he will do.

Should be able to run at that speed.. Ran 9400 combines in 175 - 200 bushel corn in hills at 5+mph doing a great job.

I think you make a good point. In northeast IA all combines are green or red. Farmers here seldom run more than a 20 foot head because of our rolling terain. My dealer has only sold a couple sts combines because there too big for most of us. This problem has forced anyone who want a rotor type combine to buy red, CIH has got 3 different rotors now and will combine tough green beans at night now. I think CIH has over 50% of sales in my area, and if Deere wants more sales here they beter come out with a 9550sts_9550SHsts for us. P.S. I've still got a Deere combine and havent ever seen an new AGCO or Cat combine in the field around here. (for those it may concern)
