Combines 9600 arm rest switches not working HElP

are you sure the problem is in the armrest we had same kinda prob in a 9500 we thought it was the arm rest but we found the prob in the engine compartment the wire on the alternater was broken this is a small signal wire if you can start the machine with the key you will find everything else should work for you it has to start with the key or all the other functions will not work hope this helps out when you started it with a screwdriver did you get a error code

Had a problem like this one time and found that the ECM was wiped out due to a spiked alternator.
