It was optional on 95 model and up machines, JD may still have a wholegoods kit to convert a machine and maurer mfg. may possibly build one also. If you find a used machine with it you'll need the lower auger, the bearing hanger and the complete upper tube and hinge setup. Most I have worked on tend to wear quickly in the transition area between the 2 augers and the hanger bearing going out due to the bottom seal giving out is common. Would be a little more maintenance but worth it of you're in and out of the barn all the time. Gg

Does these folding auger stand higher than the older machinesIJ I have a 94 and a 95 the 95 has the folding auger but it sticks up higher than the 94 The 95 had the maurer extension and the 4inch high rise we took the 4 inch off if anyone needs one I have it for sale cheap! Email 2biglake@nemontel.net Thanks Dale

I'd sure be interested in a cheap maurer extension. Are you saying that they placed the maurer extension on top of the already deere original equipment extension that you can remove the bolts and fold down into the tankIJ If Deere made a 1000 bushel grain tank someone would build a bin extension still. I'll take an ambitious grain cart driver and cart any day. Save the extra stress on the combine for weight. These guys that no till 100% I would think are going to have a compaction issue one of these days with these extreme weights we are making with these add on extensions. Just my thoughts though based merely on my beliefs only.

Sounds like he is wanting to sell the optional flip ups that mount on top the extension.

I am 100% no-till but the reason I run a large bin 365bu on a 7700 actually to help reduce compaction. I can make a full round in 180bu corn with a 6-row head and unload over the ditch with never pulling a graincart or a truck into the field. I have oversized tires on the combine which help-but I figure it is only REAllY heavy towards the end before unloading. Before I had that we had to run trucks back and forth across field to harvest the back 1_3...or run the combine fully loaded to the front.
