Combines 9600 engine help

ba We had the same thing happen 2 years ago. lunched the motor when the water pump failed dumping the antifreeze into the crankcase. You are very lucky to have caught this. I know of another 9600 that has now has a new motor after the water pump failed. How many engine hours do you have on your 9600IJ Ours had just over 2000 when the it lunched. How many of you guys with 9600's have had this problemIJ Dean

It's a 90 model, 3300 on the engine.

oil sample! it will show if there are any signs of coolant left in the oil. only cost $11. so do it before you change the oil!

Ive seen many engines which get oil in the case by means of rain or water pump and once the repair is made, I usually change oil first then run engine on idle only until there isnt any more steam coming out of vents or breathers if you have this kind of condensationIJ once there isnt any more steam I run a quart of Automatic trans fluid like DextronIII for a while, on idle only then drain it and put fresh oil and filter and let it go. Hopefully your engine didnt eat too much water. Good luck
