I just traded my 9600 on a CTS. I owned a 8820 before that, except for the cab I never seen much difference between the two. I have only used the CTS for one week and I am very inpressed with the capacity especially in small grains like oats and barley. I am not sure about modifications, this one came with something called CTS BlANKS installed to block off rear end of seperator to keep from over loading the shoe. I would recommend anyone with a CTS to try them instead of the JD BlANKS. Check out nykolaishen.com for CTS BlANKS.
