We used to grease ours daily until the grease comes out what is about 20 pumps. That way no dirt can get in. And we put new seals in those bearings once in a while, maybe after 1000 hours. We found out that some bearings need a lot more grease than what JD tells you. The reel pump is a prime example. If you don't grease it every day you can bet on it seezing up soon. Same thing with the variable drives. You can't overgrease those. We haven't had a bearing going out yet because of too much grease but lots because of too little grease.
