Is the straw fairly well intactIJ It needs to be, in order to float on the walker risers so grain can drop out and small pieces won't plug openings. If the straw is pretty chewed up but walker openings are clean, it may be that the rear beater is throwing the material too far to the rear. Is your beater grate set in the upper or lower positionIJ If it's in the lower position, it won't retard the flow of material and the beater will throw wheat straw_grain quite a long distance. If straw is pretty whole the same thing will occur, sometimes worse. When you bring the concave up to zero in front, what distance do you see between the concave and the cylinder at the rearIJ I usually set this at about 3_16" in order to provide a load at the rear of the concave and force grain thru to the shoe. Is there a possibility that you have corn fillers installed in the back spaces of the concaveIJ These will hold back separation, as well. Do you have fillers installed between the cylinder barsIJ These will keep the straw, etc. pressed against the concave and will cause a mat to form which will prevent good separation -- the MOG needs to be agitated (tumbled) in order to allow grain to drop out. The fillers cover the front angled lips of the cylinder bars and prevent this. Hope some of this helps
