Sounds like the chopper plugged and the walkers were hammering on the straw packed in there. That will break them behind the rear crank. Of the walkers I have ever broke they broke up front not the rear. I had a 2000 walker and I had to put walker bearings in at 700 hours. I don't think the bearing is heavy enough.
