Combines 9650 STS corn settings

Your concave sounds tight, you may be sending corn over the back still attached to broken cobs. See what happens if you open it up to factory recomendations. I think I run mine about 27 or 28. Otherwise you may have a bad unit.

I use the factory settings to start and then open up from there. I can run 6 mph in 180 bu corn with no problems.

Speed seems fine. Open up to alleviate excess pressure on the cobs, especially if at 20%, the cobs may be a bit wet and rubbery, which running that tight would casue them to split lengthwise and not shell off and head on to the chopper. Open up and slow down is always a good rule of thumb in corn...let those ears work on each other more.

Besides what was said below, you can drop your chopper and windrow it once. That gives you a much better idea what the rotor does. Try to keep the cobs whole by opening the concave. You might have to speed up the rotor to get the kernels cleaned off. You are not the only one loosing corn over the rotor. A little green line of volunteer behind an STS is common site.

You need to do a power shut down to see where the problem is.. You may be overloading the chaffer with broken up leaves.

Take an mm caliper and measure the diameter of the cob. You now should have a good starting point for you concave clearance. 23mm cob 23-concave clearance. Go from there.. Thanks, drohrbough
