Combines 9650 sts or 9750 stsIJ

The 9650STS and he 9750STS are virtually the same amchine, with the exception that the 9750 has a bit more horsepower and a factory installed extension. Buy the 9650STS, put a Mauer extension on it and buy a power chip for the 8.1l from an aftermarket supplier (many JD dealers know what they are and know how to get them...mine did for me, for an 8300) and save yourself several thousand.

Remember installing a power chip in your combine_tractor will most likly void the warranty on the whole machine, something to look into before you procede. I know when we used to have tractors that you could turn the fuel pump up on it was a the dealer the day the warranty went off to turn it up.

All of my customers were very impressed with the 9650's this year. No one ever ran out of horsepower at all. I really don't think that bin extensions and 20 horsepower is worth 20 grand. Something to remember: Warranty can never truely become void unless in runs out of time or hours. It is a binding contract between you and the mfg. and there are generally accepted loop holes protecting the machine as a whole. Granted, there are certain components that can have service and parts declined, but not the whole machine. And, if the dealer really cares about their customers, they will take care of it and warranty, no sweat for them.

I don't want to start anything but our dealer once pointed out to us on the warranty agreement one part that said something to the fact that any unaproved modifactions voids the whole warranty. When you think about it increased HP can theoreticaly cause problems throughout the whole machine. By increaing the HP more load is put on every moving part including the drives and separator parts. Granted most likely they are the same parts between the 9650 and 9750 but there is still the fact that technicaly the 9650 was not designed to handle the extra twenty HP. So whoever asked this in the first place if you consider the chip ask your dealer flat out and get it in writing that they will warranty the machine.

maybe I'm wrong here,but i think there is more than just the hopper extentions and h.p. i thought there are heavy duty clutches on the drives and sep.IJIJ standard feeder house oil cooler also. still, quite abit more money i agree. we ran a 96 next to my 97 in corn and beans this yr and 96 did have to slow down while unloading on the go. you sure could tell when the power boost cut off. seems to me that should stay on untill the unloading auger is offIJIJ Think both are good machines. ya buy what ya git parts and service for.

Hello, Do not believe the only difference between a 9650STS and a 9750STS is power and a larger grain tank. Go to a John Deere parts department and ask them for the fuel injector part numbers for both, ask them for the separator drive shaft u-joint part numbers for both. At one time I had a list of the differences between these machines. Right now I cannot lay my hands on it. If you do want it, Email my address and I'll try to find it for you.
