NHDon, sorry to here about Walders, I called about a cornhead a few years back up there and they seemed like nice people. Did you ever try Wards Eq. in Beech Grove KYIJ I think they trade with anybody. I have bought parts for them but not any combines. last time I traded he would trade for $60 an engine hour difference for combine or $65 for combine and grain head. He always rolls a lot of low hour combines. I have been working with two local dealers as I am owner number two of a 300-400 hour combine and my old combine has about 1000 hours and gets traded for a 2000 hour combine. The dealer tries to have all these trades take place in a short time, as that is his job. last time I traded for combine and grain head it cost me $45 an engine hour difference. A good dealer and salesman can make a lot of things happen if they try. I wish you luck. IlNewholland

That's what happens when you buy a New Holland. Been there, done that. I still have a TR99 that I can't give away. It's not that they're bad combines, but they have so little resale because of the small markets for them. I know of a JD dealer that just sold a loaded TR98, 8R Corn Head, and 30' Flex Platform for $40,000. I took a bath on my New Hollands in the past, and I know now that these Case dealers who have been "forced" to take the NH line want absolutely nothing to do with the NH trade-ins. I'm one of few around that ever had a NH, and I'm in your same area (Birkeys)!

23884life, I think you are missing NHDon's point. He likes New Holland combines but is not very happy with his CIH dealer at all. You say CIH dealers are "forced" to take on New Holland, but it should be "blessed" to have new customers coming in the doors these days. In my part of the state(SWIl) New Hollands have very good resale. Resale is up to the dealer and salesman to go out and sell the combine. If that JD dealer could not get more than $40,000 for that combine he did not try very hard to sell it. Sometimes the salesman have to get out of there offices and try harder. A good salesman could sell his mother-in-law! CIH dealers your new AFX combines will have way more in common with a TR than a 2388. Why a CIH dealer would not try to please a New Holland customer and try to give the man a deal on whatever he likes and not try to send him over to a John Deere dealer is past me.

we had a 9750 that has only done corn and soybeans come through the shop with 1800 seperator hours. the feed flights were worn out and he should get 1 more year on the threashing pads and more yet on the seperator tines. but we also have seen allot more wear on the rotors that have been in the edible beans.
