Combines 9650STS soybean question

Check three things. First ckeck the unharvested crop. Are there any pods already on ground. Second check area immediately under combine before separator discharges on ground to get picture of header loss. Third, check trash after it comes out back for whole pods, loose beans, etc. The Company people are big on 'full powered shutdowns', but I hate breaking belts and unplugging machines when I could be combining.

I had this once and found out that the pods were set lower on the stalk than the cutterbar could cut them, so they got raked off by the skid plates. Nothing I could do about it. I think it would be awful hard to get a fully ripe pod all the way through the machine in one piece.

Sounds like header loss. Stop quickly and check right behind head. Not likely whole pods getting through the combine
