Don't know about the dry beans, but I made the switch and won't ever look back. love my STS.

l Guest Jun 14, 2003 #3 We changed from a 2388 and a 1480 to a 9750 STS last fall. While the STS has some horsepower related problems, we put less hours on the STS than the 2 Case IH combines combined. We grow wheat, barley, canola, oats and some grasseed. Hope this helps.
