Combines 9690 throwing corn out the back end HElP

What size tires are on the back of the 9690IJ If you have what I think are the small ones, 14.9x24s, that's your problem. What used to help on the 8780s was to reverse the back axle flanges to lift the back of the combine to essentially change the pitch or angle of the sieves to lean forward. This can help shoe loss immensely. Don't think this can be done on the 9690s without some ingenuity because it's a new axle. You shouldn't run blanks or insert wires in concaves in corn. Rather, use the length of the rotor to get distribution right by opening up the concave to 1.5 or even more if necessary so that the corn isn't all being threshed in the first two concaves. Not sure what you mean by fluffed up corn, but if you're fighting lots of stalks breaking at the head and trying to feed them into the machine, there is a spike kit for these corn heads that bolts to the center of the auger to feed in stalks in this condition. Install it if you don't already have it. It comes in 2 parts that clamp around the auger tube in the center and has 3-4" long spikes to grab stalks. let us know how you're getting along and good luck.

do have the agco hill side kit in itIJ if you do take off the cascading riasers. and open the concave up. if you have the 14.9 tires in the rear lowering the air in the fronts a little and air up the rears will help a little. if you have rwa set the the mudhog in the highest position so the rear sits higher

Hey, In the manual it tells you what your settings should be. I think it is in the owners manual. I would have to get in one of these combines again. We demoed a 9790 and loved it. They sold it to a place in Arizona though so I hope this helps. Thanks, MF 9790

We are running a Massey 8590 and we are only running around 200 rpm on the rotor at 1-inch clearance. We have the deflector shields set in so that they are even with the divider's on the grain pan. We are using an air foil chaffer, and are running the bottom sieve wide open.

We are using an 8 row White corn head, we don't unload on the go, (lack of help). The corn averaged 130 bu, the best was 148. We are in S E Ks which is good corn for us. The limiting factor on the combine is the corn head, depending on how dry the stalks are. We have speeded up the corn head which helped alot. We have taken the rotor out to St John Welding to have Terry rebuild it, it looks like we will have alot of green stem beans. It would handle a bigger corn head, but the 8 row is big enough for our terraced ground.
