Not knowing who set the machine or how its set up I can't comment on this. But rotor loss should not be a problem. My 8780xp in 110 bushel wheat was doing 900 bushels in 45 min. With very littel wheat on the ground.

This is soft white winter wheat called Rod. This was irrigated but around here you can have dry land wheat go over 100.

Most of my experience is with the 8570, and I have never had a rotor loss problem in any crop - even 100 bu. wheat.

I have been running a 8570 on hills here, it has been heating up hyd. oil and the light comes on then the engine heats some. So when Hillco put the side hill kit on do they put a bigger oil cooler on and a big pump to handel the leveling. I am sure it take more power for leveling, dose it have enough power for leveling, climing hills and thrashingIJ I was also wonder on the 9690 you demoed if it had reverse bars in itIJ Sinceraly, swtvid

I would say the 9690 is quite an improvement over the 8570. And as far as being beat by a TR98, something was not set right on that 9690. I've run 8780XPs against TR98s and the Massey is good for a good .5mph more in ground speed with a cleaner bin and no loss. And throwing wheat over the rotorIJ I'd have to see it to believe it. The machine has to be badly misadjusted to get rotor loss, in almost any crop.

The Hilco system has its own pump uses the same resivore. It doesn't take a big pump to run leveling and I have never gotten the oil hot.It has enough power to do a good job but when you have to pull a 30% hill 600 hp would not be enough. When I here of a flat land guy needing more power I have to laugh. And I think the 9690 did have reverse bars. good luck
