Oh, yes, those big ol' balls are making another set of tracks behind the R52 in this warm weather! I cannot stress enough what a marvelous difference lee made in our combine by setting the governor correctly. It went from a complete dog that we were very frustrated with to a beast mother with a temper! As Hyper stated, it cost us about $170 and that is derned cheap compared to turning the idiot screw up and pumping more fuel to get the hp. I've had a couple of people email me in the past year wanting the phone n of the shop in Ft Dodge. Either lee will love me for this or curse me, but here is the vital info: Midwest Diesel Injection Service

I may be setting myself up here, but what is the purpose of the two basketballs being dragged behind your combineIJIJIJ

I believe the operative word is "BAllS", as in "having them now".

Thanks for the explanation! I knew I was missing something obvious here!

I've had lots of bad charge pumps also. I now have a habit of pushing the plunger in very slow and listening for the relief valve on main pump to clatter whenever I get in engine compartment. I also push the plunger in slow on the Deutz to listen for chatter for I've saw junk get into check valve which will prevent enough charge presure to main pump.
