You can depend on the double wobble boxes. This has been very successful for NH. I work alongside lots of JD 930-'30 platforms and it's not unusual to have a wobble box go out every 3-400 hours. It's a $1,000 to rebuild one. I have never in 12 years had a wobble box off or had to repair one. I say go for it! Good luck.

I will second Don's statement. We have had a double wobble box head from 1983(on a 20' 972 head, two 25' 973's heads and now a 30' 73c) and have never had any trouble with the box's. A big plus is that if you take a knife out it is still short enough to haul on the back of a pick-up truck. The head seems to run smoother and with less noise also. Ilnewholland

I agree that the wobble box is a strong unit but we have had to beef up the bracket that holds it to the head on all of ours. Had 2 crack it and got smart and beefed the others before they broke.

the boxes themselves will not give you trouble, but we had a small problem with sickle sections crashing together where the sickles overlap, just make sure the sickle sections are on the right way and you should be good
