Combines 973 vs 73C

I do not believe their si much difference between the 973 and 73c other than the full-finger auger. Everyone says the full-fingers help feeding, I am not as convinced. My first 73c the did not break at the score on the fingers and poked holes in my auger. NH replaced the auger under warranty. I was later told they had a batch with improper heat treatments. I was also told you could look at tell the difference. Maybe before you purchase, pull a couple fingers and either break in a vise or compare with a new. Good luck.

The 73c is wonderful! compared to the 973.I wrote you a detailed post about some things to watch for, but I used one word that the host didn't like so it wouldn't go. Sure upset me. Anyway, E-mail me if you need help.
