I have a 9660 and a 9650 before that. Smooth bars will help but are not good in beans at all! I am not sure about the slow down kit. I set my rotor on no more than 250 in dry corn and keep my concave above 30 on both machines. Also in dry corn keep your return as low as possible that will help eith rotor loss and damage. I like my bottom sieve on 11 or 12 and chaffer about the same. Keep your rotor speed as slow as possible in any crop! I learned this from red owners in my area. Hope this helps.
