We are running a 9650 sts. Can't complain but not getting the speed we expected out of it. We are cutting 50 to 70 bushel wheat, but can only go 3 to 4 mph. I don't think HP is the problem we are just throwing it over shoe and rotor.

I have heard from friends, on the harvest run, the Cats are giving the STS' a run for its money. The 480's are by no means lacking in power and capacity. It is the Cat's performance, capacity grain quality and sample cleanliness which seem to be cutting their way right into the interests of harvesters and producers wishing to increase harvest efficiency and possibly replacing multiple machine operations with fewer machines with the same capabilities. Also, the tracks are becoming a featured option, especially when the week long rains set in and the fields become bottomless.
