Are you sure it sold, or could the owner have just bid it back inIJ Remember, more than one person has to want it at an auction. I've seen this several times, where something appears to go dirt cheap, and it has just been bid back.

It may be going back to the dealer, but just the same he will have to pay back the full amount of the note-if it's financed thru JD.He has no use for it as he's geting out of farming. It had duals, chopper, bin estension, lateral feederhouse tilt, long unloading auger, and ag leader yield monitor. He had theag leader on the TR-98 he had before. The 9600's and 9650's are selling pretty cheap, with JD eliminating floor planning the best way to buy a combine is to not have a trade. The STS's are not as popular as some had hoped in that the maintenance is very high like maybe ave. $15,000 a year.

I seen the combine headed west on a lowboy, they had taken the duals off, so I guess it was going a ways. I didn't see the name on the semi but it was orange, if thats any clue.

I ran across a farmer in Nebraska that has a 9650STS for sale with 288 sep hrs. It has RWD, coutour, mapping, bin ext, 30.5's on 36" rows. If you email me I'll give you a phone number to call. I bet it's well over 100K though.

No, it's not. I saw two just like that sell last december at the same auction for 121000 apiece and same guy bought both. It looks like the pool of bidders is really drying up fast as I watch the sale results lately. A real nice 2366 near me brought 49K and it was excellent. last fall I think it would have brought 65. Maybe farmers aren't as rich as some thought.
