Set the fan choke at 7. Make sure the fan is in good shape with no broken or missing blades and that the choke isn't plugged with leaves or trash. Try opening the chaffer one or two notches and make sure sieve is as open as possible without putting trash in bin. low air and the chaffer too tight is letting the corn bounce out and restricting air. Might try increasing rotor to 270-280 to pulverize silks more if conditions are damp. Good luck.

Our Agco rep says to cut last row of fins out of chaffer. I believe he suggests to totally remove fins and "rod" that it attaches to. He claims no ill side effects and will let those silks through. He really seems to think this works when in damp conditions. We have never had to do it but again he claims lots of guys do it with no trouble. Do not worry you do not have too much air. Your probably walking corn over chaffer (made worse by silk build-up)rather than blowing out. Always seems to be the case for us anyway.

New corn chaffers have last row of louvers and rod left out to prevent build -up.works ok.

I would put loewens feeder house shocks on both and forget about ever having to adjust them. Feeding is way better w_them anyway.

If its a '98 it already has shocks on it
