Had this problem on a 9860. Deere has a new muffler with more suction in the asperator, and the asperator hose is 4 feet shorter with the new muffler. This unit was plugging the asperator hose, then the filter would plug.

Dealer came out and put on new muffler. 70 acres of wheat and filter light came on. Any ideasIJ

I have a 9860. This is the 2nd year I've had it. I have the same problem with filter plugging. They have an update with filter system. Does your hose that comes off the air cleaner come off towards the back of the air cleaner or the front. If it comes off on the back, that is the old style. The other one is mounted on the front cover. Since I've had this system put on, I went 1200 acres before cleaning the air cleaner. Your JD dealer should know about this.

greenman, thanks for your help. dealer came out and we jerry rigged it so aspirator hose draws from the front of filter instead of back cover. I combined 20 acres and plugged filter. Moved hose back to where it was and got 28 acres. It was very windy. Problem is worse when windy as dust and chaff blows up on downwind side. Dealer has been after Deere as all 9860s he's sold this year have this problem. Not all as severe as mine.Deere says they are at a loss to solve this problem. This is not the first time I have had a problem that they claim they know nothing about, only to find out on this site that others have same problem and Deere has a solution for.Thank you. (had trouble plugging precleaner on 9610 a few years ago, Deere claimed ignorance, found out on this site that not only did they know about it, but made a kit to add to cross shaft to solve problem, complete with a part no. Makes you wonder) Thanks alot, will inform dealer in the morning.
