You will really like the knife rolls especially if you are no-tilling soybeans into corn stalks. With the fluted rolls we had trouble with pieces of attached stalks getting caught in the drive chains on our Knize 16-31 planter. With knife rolls you can't find a long piece of attached stalk in the entire field.I don't think you will have horsepower problems other than maybe in big tall varieties like 33P67. Now days the shorty hybreds and the white cobs are short and usually planted at high populations so the stalks arn't too big. The hyd adjustable deck plates help too when goingfrom one size stal to another. We switched to a new knife rolllate this season and didn't notice much difference. The NH head is awesome nd the CIHis the same.

I run a 12 row 22" head with knife rolls on our TR 89. No problem with power.
