OUCH!!! Here at work we have a decent size slide hammer that we can pull stubborn injectors with (that is injectors that have the high pressure fuel fitting right on top and not on the side). Good luck.

I did an inframe on my 7050 a number of years ago (3700 engine). I'm sure I didn't replace the rod bolts. I likely torqued them 5ft_lb more than specs called for, I used jobber parts, it's still running.

Richard, Of course the hi-pressure fittings were on the side near the bottom so there was no chance of using that fitting to attach a slide hammer. Anyways, the old girl is back together. Truth be told, I probably would have replaced the valves and guides anyways, even if I hadn't broken the one I did. I didn't really count on doing the exhaust seat inserts though. Seems that the early 3500s had 45 deg. valves on the ex. Can't get anything but 30 deg. valves anymore, so that requires new seats. Harvest is a week to 10 days aways here, so the old girl will soon get some exercise running my auger. Ed in NE Montana
